Our dear friend Thierry Millot, tried a new JMC rod for the pike’s opening day, and this is what he caught !!
First day out with the JMC Triumph SPC and I meet this 1,05m pike !! Since I like light and powerfull rods I chose the 9′ #6/7. I used it with the JMC Distance WF7F line which allows to cast my favorites streamers (size 1 to 3/0) up to 15m with precision. On the most powerfull rush, followed by a tarpon’s style jump, I had no problem to fight that big pike ! I also had fun using a JMC Distance WF6F made for bass, it was a pleasure ! The use of JMC Exel 57 reel really balances the rod to perfection and it has a REAL drag ! I cant wait to be in Sweden this summer to show the pikes from Lapland what kind of gear it is !!!

Première sortie avec la JMC Triumph SPC est rencontre avec un gros bec de 1m05 !! Appréciant les cannes légère et puissante j’ai choisi la 9′ pour soie 6/7. Utilisé avec une soie JMC Distance WF7F elle permet d’entrainer mes streamers favoris (taille1 à 3/0) jusqu’à 15m avec précision. Sur le rush le plus puissant, suivi d’un saut digne d’un tarpon de ce gros brochet, pas de souci pour brider la bête! Je me suis aussi amusé avec une soie JMC Distance WF6F à pêcher le Black Bass, un régal ! Son compagnon le moulinet JMC Exel 57 équilibre parfaitement la canne et offre un frein digne de ce nom. Vivement cette été en Suède pour montrer au broc Lapon le look sympa de canne polyvalente.
