TJUONAJOKK ! What a weird name ! It sounds as if someone was sneezing !  It’s also the sound you can scream out loud when you catch one of those amazing graylings from the Kaitum ! I wen there last year on a trip organsied by Planet Fly Fishing it was amazing ! From the helicopter you could see the Kaitum wiggling in the  toundra. Rapids where the graylings are by the thousand (yes 1000 ! ) followed by lakes where you find ferociouse trouts and angry pikes. Tjuonajokk camp is a little town on its own, a restaurant (you’ll die , it’s so good!), a sauna with the camp showers, and cabins spread along the river… [slideshow]Nothing to disturb you, but some moskitos in the evening if there is no wind. We had a free boat that allowed us to go fishing when ever we wanted on the Kaitum (you only have to be at the camp for diner). Fishing around the clock, that’s awesome ! The days you want to go pass the rapids you’ll need to hire a guide with a bigger boat (you have one free trip included) and this is Bonanza ! You can go further down the river and Graylings are like cazies !! Figure out, they only have 4 month to eat as many flying insects or nymphs as they can befor ethe river freezes again ! It’s magic ! You’ll only be distubed by a moose crossing by… For lunch ? It’s the best ! You light a fire with willow’s bark then you catch your meal… Tjuonajokk… I wanna go back !!! Please…
