 Pike flies can be as mad looking as we want to make them..and they will still catch fish! I use mainly natural materials, my favourites are bucktail,marabou,finn raccoon and a few feathers like the grizzly hackles and schlappens. The most used synthetic is the funky fiber, very versatile and comes in many colors. We don’t always need to “match the hatch” for pike, and its a good thing for a creative fly dresser.
