This bag reminds me the one I had when I got to highschool. It was my father’s, an old brown leather bag, a little shapeless but really cool in my eyes : after all, last time it was in use was the troubled spring of 1968, when the French youth invented something new. The Oliberté Krabu has the same old school feeling, a vibe coming from before synthetic stuff took completely over, even though there is also something very contemporary to its design. But what’s really interesting about this bag is the business model behind it. It’s certified fair trade, made in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia by Oliberté. Check their story here, I think it’s cool.
