Great food, easy living, in the craddle of our civilization, and if you are not fishing you can go do some turism visiting all the archeoligal and historical sites that are evrywhere! Italy figured it ou, they saw what was happening in Slovenia and Austria, the neighbors, and thought, hmm maybe we could also have flyfishing turism here? And they are rght! Of course there are the Dolomites, in the Alps, but alos this river, Nera, in central Italy, in Umbria region. Crystal waters, nice fish and a lot fo catch & release stretches. You go fishing, than a good italian mea, than next morning you go visiting the region and you start all over again!
