Lofoten Islands, far up off the coast of Norway, ISlands so beautiful they seem to spring from the bottom of the sea with their hills sharp and pointed as alpine peaks. But that’s not all of it, Lofoten Islands are home of Atlantic Salmon, Sea trout and arctic Char. Maybe a good reason to go? I have heard somewhere at a Atlantic Salmon composium that the EU was buying fishing rights from the Lofoten Islands to protect Atlantic Salmon fishing in Iceland. So the salmon that were not caught in the Northern Atlantic could go up the Icelandic rivers and spawn. Is ti a rumor or is it true? I’ll have to investigate and let you now.
