Tom Morgan left us on Monday.

Tom Morgan was alone a whole piece of fly fishing’s history, both in the United States and worldwide. Fishing guide in Montana, owner of R.L. Winston, then at the head of Tom Morgan Rodsmiths, his own small business of super high end fly rods, he was one to cast a rod before ever putting a signature on it. His bamboos and his glass blanks are legendary in their own circles.

The last twenty years of his life were a battle against MS, which left him paralysed… but still driving his workshop! At the Mouching, we’re not necessarily higher end tackle maniacs, but we know an exceptional man when we see one. So long, Mr. Morgan, and thank you for everything!
