For my generation, Starsky et Hutch was the very taste of the seventies in America, raw, violent, urban and dark. The style was unmistakable, like that mythical red Gran Torino. It was a combination of kitsch and sassiness and definitely it was cool. Our buddies at Swift know their cool as if they wrote the book, and just launched a collector rod, a 686 Starsky Special wich perfectly captures the magic of the times, the legendary: toffee glass, decorative cross wrap in front of the grip, tiger wraps, copper reel seat… Certainly an object of lust. Bonus: the Starsky and Hutch Tom Scott theme, that replaced a much darker Lalo Schiffrin score after the first season.
