This book tells the story of Ernesto, the son of a loving family born in 1970 in Cuba. His parents generation grew up with the Che and believed that Fidel Casto will bring them success and peace. But as years go by, things changed and when his father dies fighting with the Cuban troops in Angola, Ernesto, then 12, knows that his life has changed forever. Years later, after he’s moved to Lisbon, Ernesto is still obsessed with his father’s death and the war in Angola. Meeting a former Cuba soldier is his last chance to know if he’s truly the son of a hero.
