The Chignard brothers on a still part of the Traun river

The Traun river, Germany, we know it when it runs downhill, making currents and waves, all of that making it sometimes rather easy to trick Trout and Grayling with a high floating dry fly. But when the current slows down, when the water is almost still, it’s not a all the same game, you  need a tippet twice the length of your rod and don’t think you can go bigger than 7X. That’s when we can enjoy watching the Chignard Brothers. A game of skill.
