The beginning of spring is always very complicated for fishing in the alpine regions and for good reason.

The first heat activates the melting of the snow, inflating the level of the rivers. The water becomes super cold. You have to know how to deal with these elements. Personally, I like to fish the springs of these rivers. On the other hand, the access is a bit more complicated because as you can imagine there is still a small amount of snow up there. There is no way to park the car right on the edge and fish. You have to walk either with snowshoes or get out your skis. That’s what the guys from Trusty Trav Productions do.
