Striiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiike…….Hooooooooooooooooooooooooked…… wizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!! ! I was in Cuba at PlanetFliFishing/Loop camp (a 5* hotel…) and I was trying the Megaloop reel #12…previously I had always been using my old, strong, loved but heavy anti-reverse (Bxxxy Pxxe). When I’ve put the Loop on my rod…Wow !! It was so light it felt as I had no reel…. It was a change… Specially when you have to blind cast for hours with a 12 line… So there we were in the middle of a channel, close to its mouth. No wind, only the birds song from the mangroves. Then Mario, my guide, shouted « Sabalos a las 11 » tarpons at 11. For ince I easaly  casted towards the 6 or 8 rolling tarpons coming to us… One followed the fly, as in slo motion, I could see his big month wide open as it swallowed the fly. It was only a few meeters from the boat, along the mangrove. It turned away and that’s when I pulled the line as strong as I could. I had the feeling there was a calf at the other end…and my reel went….wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and as the poon jumped in the air, silver armour shining against the deep green leaves… instants of magic. I could tame the poon with the amazing drag. Man, this reel is really something, okay it’s BIG but it’s so light and so strong, and the V shaped spool makes it easy to reel the line back in. It’s a « must » ! Megalooop Reel # 10 to #14 around 500$. Touuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuche………………Ferrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre……….. wizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!
