SCOTT + HATCH & ASPE ANGLER

Le week-end dernier, pour me distraire et montrer les casquettes et autres T.Shirts du Mouching, je suis allé au salon de Saint Etienne. Un salon formidable, humain, où ce qui se fait de mieux était représenté dans un lieu exclusivement réservé à la pêche à la mouche. Je passe sous silence la nouba que nous avons fait le soir mais, par contre je vais vous parler d’une canne incroyable que j’ai essayé (dans un hall et par sur les flats…). Nos amis de Aspe Angler avaient dans leur boutique, plusieurs engins du tonnerre, mais lorsque je suis allé essayer la Scott S4S (modèle spécial mer) 9′, soie de 8 avec le moulinet Hatch 7… là je me suis dit que j’avais en main un sacré engin ! En à peine un faux lancer j’avais envoyé ma mouche (ici un fil de laine) au bout du stand de tir…(le bien nommé !) une légèreté et une puissance incroyable, parfaitement équilibrée grâce au Hatch 7. Je me suis vu, là, au milieu du salon comme sur un flat visant un bonefish…le brouhaha du salon se transformait en silence tropical, je n’étais plus là. J’étais loin. Loin comme la soie que j’envoyais avec la facilité d’une soie de 4… Petit papa Noël, tu veux pas revenir ? Et comme la température idéale pour ce genre de matos est de 28°, on c’est dit qu’on allait prendre une photo prés du poêle !

Last week end, to drive around and to show caps and other T Shirts from Le Mouching, I went to Saint Etienne Fly Fishing Show. A amazing show, human sized, only for fly fishers. I’m not mentioning the party we had at night… But what I’m going to talk about is the amazing rod I came accross and tried on the casting ground. Our dear friends from Aspe Angler had in their store several deadly weapons but this one… when I casted the S4S Scott 9’#8 with the Hatch 7 reel… I wished I had that with me last year in Cuba… SOO00ooo smooth, SOO00ooo powerfull, SOO00ooo well balanced. In one cast I reached the other end of the casting field. One cast… and I’m a lousy caster. I was there In the middle of France but it was as if I was on a skiff under the cuban sun, aiming at a bonefish that would have no chance to escape with that dealy weapon ! Can I take it home ??? We took a picture by the stove to be close to the regular 84° needed for tropical fishing !
