(ENglish Version) Nous sommes tous pareils.

We are all the same. Each time that we catch a tuna, weather it’s a big one, a little one, a red, a blue or a white, we all have the same reaction: admiration; and we all cry the same exclamation: Aaaaaahhh! Ooooohhhh! Oulalala!!! Oh, my God! (for the believers among us).

And what’s more, there is reason to be giddy; these are beasts of an awesome beauty. Built like a rocket (or like a big suppository for our hypochondriac friends), these Schwarzeneggers of the oceans talk to us of power, of liberty, of elegance, of vigorous fucking and I don’t know what else… and after the battle when we release them we’re totally exhausted, sweaty but exhilarated and these tunas will continue to haunt us for many nights.

« Where are you going with all this? » you might ask.

OK…  Yesterday, at the supermarket on Metropolitan Avenue in Brooklyn, I fell upon (literally) these tiny, fucking cans of tuna; it made my blood boil to a disturbing crescendo. (It isn’t that I don’t like to eat fish! On the contrary, I love fish and would just as soon eat only fish if I could.) But this…  we have got to stop screwing around; look at the ridiculous size of that can of tuna.  It gives me murderous impulses, not you?  Just think of those magnificent beasts in the ocean and the jerks who have reduced them into tiny tin cans.

Today I take an oath, not only to NEVER buy these shameful cans, but also to pray every night that the all-powerful Tuna Gods that they may unleash a major tsunami on the bloody canneries that so gravely offend the honor of these glorious fish.

OK… that’s it… I’ve calmed down for the moment!  And you?
