ASF stands for Atlantic Salmon Federation, a Canadian organization dedicated to protecting salmon. So when we saw that our friends at Tight Loops had made this film, we couldn’t help but share our enthusiasm!

Government, Indigenous, and non-governmental organizations, including the FSA, have traditionally focused on restoring populations that have reached critical levels and habitats that have been severely damaged. This necessary work must continue, but climate change threatens all rivers and requires a new approach to Atlantic salmon conservation. Wild Salmon Watersheds aims to conserve and protect rivers where salmon still thrive and prevent future declines. To do this, we will provide local partners with the knowledge and resources necessary to carry out sustainable conservation projects. The FSA’s vision is to create a North American network of up to 30 partner watersheds in regions where wild Atlantic salmon thrive and where there is a strong connection between communities and salmon. https://www.asf.ca/work/watersheds/
