Columbia Outdry Jacket

I think I have found the right rain jacket, the Columbia Outdry! A jacket that looks like the old plastic jackets we had as kids but if they look like it you better know that’s it’s only the look, because it has the ultimate technologie, the Outdry, that has a sheet of waterproof material sandwiched beetween the waterproof outskin and the inside Omni-Wick™ EVAP that prevents you from sweating and getting cold. The seams are sealed, the pockets have waterproof zippers, the hood is adjustable and fits perfectly with a cap, the cuffs are not totally waterproof as on other wading jackets but you can adjust them tight enough so there is barely no water that gets in when you put your arm in the water. The one I got is the top of the range, the Outdry Ex Diamond it has reinforced shoulders especially protected so if you are carrying a backpack or a sling, the straps won’t wear off the material. The cut of the jacket is very comfortable, you can double haule with no problem, it’s long enough so when you’re wearing it when you’re not fishing you are really dry. There are other models as good as this one but with less extra protection and cheaper.
