We met at the Efftex the biggest fly maker in the world : the Fulling Mill Company. Since the 1930’s Fulling Mill ties flies for every fish that can be target on the planet, you can find everything from stonefly nymph to popper for bass, from tarpon to masheer. They show some of their best sellers : saltwater streamers and realistic mayflies.
The english company present us the fake Jungle Cock feather, a lovely synthetic wannabe that makes the business because the real animal is protected.
The flies are crafted in Kenya in workshop that belongs to the company meaning that they tie what they create and manage the production from beginning to end. Check the endles catalog on internet (too sad that we can’t zoom in the fly pic a little more..)
Fulling Mill is well known to be the oldest fly makers company and therefore one of the famous. Their success is due to their large collections of patterns combined with good quality and low price. Indeed at some point you consider either making some effort or really loosing your time when you pay your nymph 1,80$ !
