We all have our opinion on music and sound design on fly fishing films, some filmmakers don’t make any effort and just paste on the film the latest song they’ve heard, others, (a lot) are under the orders of a gothic higher power and cannot help matching their films with Lord of the rings/Game of Throne/Teutonic knights fake medieval shit music, and very few find the perfect soundtrack. Sometimes it’s only music, sometimes they make an effort to mix it with direct sound or, as here, sometimes they design a whole soundscape. The Gregorian chants set you in a relaxing mood and the exagerated sounds of nature capture your attention! Nice advertisement for Guideline, so powerful just because of the sound design… Congrats!
