After Storm Benjamin swept across France yesterday, we hope you didn’t suffer too much damage! This weekend should be a little better, giving you the chance to go back to fishing in reservoirs or, for those lucky enough, to try your hand at grayling in second category rivers. For those who can’t, we’ve found a video that will take you on a journey.
We’re off to the Marie River, or rather the Rio Gigantes, in the heart of the Amazon rainforest to fish for one of the most powerful freshwater fish, the Peacock Bass. A massive fish with splendid colors that gives fishermen a run for their money. Yes, you have to cast fairly large streamers near the hiding places. Once it grabs hold, it’s off for some crazy rushes. Thrills guaranteed. And to rest, the guys head to a floating lodge, which is pretty cool… Thanks to Helmut Zanderer, Black Fly Eyes, and the Untamed Angling team.
