Welcome to the second episode (2 of 6) of: “A Fishing Year Along The River Vindelälven Valley”.
In this episode we follow Viktor, Tor and Stefan, who in June head to the restored tributary “Ruskträskbäcken” for both grayling and brown trout.
We also get to meet fishery conservation area chairman Kaj Gambäck who enthusiastically tells about how they work with management to promote fishing which they have done very successfully with the modern applied regulations.
In June, the normal spring run off the main Vindelälven river is high, but fortunately this period provides the absolute best fishing in tributaries and in the smaller lakes and ponds found along the river valley. Brown trout tend to be very active and can surprise with really fine specimens.
