diningroomWhat about if I tell you that I got into fly fishing after reading Jim Harrisons books, in the late 80’s. I was obsessed, all I dreamed of was to meet those amazing characters that are in Harrison’s novels. Everytime I wen t to Montana I thought I was going to meet him as his daughter lives by Livingstone. But just to read his books made me happy and probably a better person. In fact I have never read any author who could describe what we actualy feel the way Harrison did. So today, in a Michigan gazette I found this advertisment from this real estate, they had a cabin for sale up North Michigan, just by the small town of Grand Marais.room Grand Marais…that’s the town Jim Harrison speaks about in his early interviews! I took a closer look at the nad there it was! Jim Harrison’s cabin is for sale! The one where he wrote all his early books! So if you’re ready to move to North Michigan, and have 220 000$ to spend for a house, you can be in Jim Harrison’s shoes! Not sure you’ll write like him, but you can certainly look at the same view, sleep in the same room, cook in the same kitchen, and you can also find insporation in the samll cabin in the garden where he had his desk and typewriter. Who knows, the house is maybe haunted by Big Jim? The link to the real estate is HERE.
