Thank you Astrud Gilberto for all those hours spent in your company.

Inside the car, I was pushing the tape in the slot, and turning the volume way up as I was driving on the summer roads, all windows down, to the river for the evening hatch, I was singing along even if I didn’t know the words, but I was feeling happy and the dreams I had about amazing fishing were than a possibilty. That music made everything possible. Later at night, I would play Astrud Gilberto’s records and we would start dancing under the stars, once again, everything could be possible. The music of hope, the carress of the hands on the silk of the shirts, bodies dansing as they froll each other. Astrud GIlberto was the voice of everything could be possible.

Astrud Gilberto, she was part of the soundtrack of my life. It’s sad and beautiful.
