Eric, a reader from Lyon, France, was kind enough to send us a little mail about a knife Uldis Šulcs made for him. It’s a custom project, the one you see down there with the white background. As you know, there’s an epidemic of mild cases of knife geekism at Le Mouching, so I just couldn’t pass on the opportunity to go check the guy’s work. He’s from Latvia, and he works a nice Damascus. I love the way he melts classic designs with a touch of madness. I love the copper drops in the steel of the plateless model, as I would gladly take the Slaidais (Slender), the one with a brass guard, on a trip in the wild.
