I thought about it, and finaly, tomorrow I wont go to the parade. The Republic had promised me so many things and I belived it. I beleived that the state would be looking after me in a broad way. I thought that the agriculture would be reasonable, that the rivers would be clean and the fish wild and numerous. I thought I would go to the parade wearing my fisherman’s outfit, my rod on my shoulder, my chest full of mayflies as if they were medals. It wont happen because I’m  bitter and angry because of the way our Republic is treating us, because ecology and wildlife protection just don’t mean shit regarding progress and money. Today I went to a pool where I know there is a big fat trout. Instead there was a chub, and a pipe pumping water soaking a cornfield that would later feed the cattle instead of feeding it green fat grass from the valley. I felt like crying, Is it for that way of life that we had a revolution ?? I don’t think so. Hopefully I watched this film on Montana’s rivers, I like its images, the way it’s edited. I envy this flyfisherman I am jeaous of these playful trouts. [vimeo https://vimeo.com/45672322] montana-wild.com
