It’s hip, I won’t deny it. There’s even the obligatory hipster bashing at 2’27 which is a true hipster stample. But it’s a fresh take on the problem of fly tying filming, and I really like the result. It’s not a perfect teaching tool like McPhail’s and Weilenmann’s videos, sometimes you need to know similar patterns to really get what’s going on, like with the ribbing part, that look highly non-trivial to me. But the shrimp looks darn good, especially in that dream-like shrimpland bonanza closing sequence, a kind of unexpected Coen brothers’ reminiscence.[vimeo=https://vimeo.com/115573233]
