High Alps, fly fishing

High Alps, actualy you should say Hautes Alpes, it’s not that they are the highest part of the Alps, it’s jus the name of a French region, in the Southern Alps, opposed to the Maritime Alps whichare touching the sea. You get it? So in Les Hautes Aples, streams are numerous so are the trout in it. Nymphing seems to be the most productive way of fishing, but here, in France, we don’t use indicator, we look at our line and sometimes we set the hook when we get to see the trout oepning its mouth or when there is an unusual move. It’s art. no more no less. Just try it once, and you’ll get what I’m talking about, and try it in a fast current stream. Respect !
