Our Mouching ambassador Marc Boesch, Loop‘s French Pro team member and guide with Planet Fly Fishing is just coming back  from a fishing trip in New Zealand where he seriously bended his rods and made his reels sing like sirens…3 weeks of trout galore trying to manage to put the tbig brows and rainbows he caught into the net, when they didn’t get loose…
It was a first for me, I had never used a “cicada” before on the Branch River. Jphn our guide told me “Watch out, sometimes trout are letting you fly go by, they follow it for a few meters and then take it. Give it some time before your strike, the trout needs to really take it. Don’t do anything stupid!”. Once I got the message, all I had to do was to practice on the field. First cast just in front of a massive brown. Right in front of her nose. The “cicadéa” goes by, that’s when you tell yourself, “I f**ed up, I have to re cast again” and than the trout turns around follows my fly, swinging its taill as a happy dog… probably the longest seconds of my fisherman’s life. Of coures the trout takes it and by that time you have forgotten all the advise your guide gave you and you strike ! And the fly comes out of the fish mouth… Flyfishing is a bitch!  Luckely, I quicly learned my lesson and I had the luck to catch some massive trout.[slideshow]
