Today I was in my hometown, Laissac, and the Tour de France was there too, thousands of people under the sun, waiting for those 150 racers to go up the moutain of Aubrac in a 94 F heat! As we were sipping fresh drinks I thought of all those cyclists going uphill, I considered my self lucky that it wasn’t me! Anyway I don’t like the outfit. But that heat today was almost tropical and even the gentle breeze was hot. Suddenly I thought I was not in my dear Aveyron (that region in South West France) but somewhere in the tropics, standing under the beating sun, looking for bonefish. Than, as I was daydreaming I opend my computer and that film popped up on my screen! The remote Tuomutu Islands, “the forgotten atoll” in French Polynesia. When are we going?
